Ice Robot

Photo shooting in my job takes place not only inside studios but also outdoors.
Sometimes we face harsh environments such as the cold in below freezing temperatures.
For example, the below Ice Robot cannot be accomplished
without the cooperation of editors, photographers, and people who take care of heavy physical work.
On top of that, snow and ice melt away.
Such fragility makes the object more lively in the photos and in our mind.
I would like to thank all those people who were involved in this shooting.
This ice robot was dismantled after the shooting was completed though we felt heartbroken in doing so...

We faced frosty conditions where these photos were taken.
The temperature was -5 degrees in the daytime and -18 degrees at night

Snow Locomotive

The cheerful kids riding on the locomotive in the left photo are children of MegumiNursery School in Iiyama, Nagano.
The right photo was taken at night using lots of torches so as to dress up the object with lights.
We also made some snow huts in the shape of an ice cream, the sun, a star and a snowcone.
As those works were able to be seen from the national road nearby, along the ShinanoRiver,
some people took a break from driving and dropped by to see our works
